Can anyone recommend a good camp grounds on the Guadalupe River?
Just me and the guys for a weekend of tubin and drinkin. The websites advertised on google aren't very informative about the actual campsites. Don't want to be right on top of other campers and would like some shade.Any help would be great!

- You do know that the Guadalupe River is horribly low due to the drought, right? I don't know how good your tubing experience is going to be... You don't say where you're coming from, or how far you want to drive. If you're trying to stay close to a town, then one of the campsites in New Braunfels will probably be your best bet. They all look about the same, so basically pick one. The Landa RV & Campground is on the Comal River, and is nice. If you want to be a bit more in the country, check out Leisure Camp at Fentress, on the San Marcos River. It's a very popular spot. Finally, there's the Guadalupe River State Park. The river is nice through there, but it's likely to be a bit crowded on the weekends, and "drinkin'" will have to be discreet. Speaking of which, before you decide to go to New Braunfels, check all their new rules regarding "drinkin'" on the Guadalupe River!
